Definition
Performs technical work related to programming, database management, special
projects, installation of software packages, training users in software
uses, installation of operating systems and troubleshooting software.
An employee in this class; plans, organizes and work with little or no
supervision to perform his/her duties. Work requires the use of considerable
judgment, initiative and technical knowledge. Work is reviewed through
reports submitted.
Examples of work (not all inclusive)
Troubleshooting all problems as related to the CAMA system.
Troubleshooting all problems as related to the Recorders/Cadastral Systems.
Troubleshoot all software applications as needed.
Install all new computers with in-house software and upgrade components
as needed.
Load all applicable software and operation systems as needed.
Provided liaison with authorized persons utilizing data processing services.
Recommends new uses for or abandonment of equipment as may be necessary.
Review performance of applications in al divisions
Develops and assist in implementing in-house training programs
Assist in evaluating of feasibility and applicability of new technical
developments
Submit reports to the MIS Director as required.
Performs other related duties as required
Education and Experience
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a major in Data
Processing or related field, supplemented by three years experience in
database management, loading software, training users in applications
using Windows NT or Novell and working knowledge or Microsoft Office 97/2000
and Windows 9X/2000.

Knowledge of computer systems and networking
Knowledge of computer programming
Knowledge of database management
Ability to write and speak clearly and concisely
Ability to instruct personnel in a clear and understandable manner
Ability to establish and maintained effective working relationships
