The Virgin Islands State Health Insurance Program (VI SHIP)/Medicare
Office, a Division of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, will host
two Drug Discount Card Provider Training sessions in conjunction with
the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Region II Office.
Provider training sessions will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2004,
from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Sun Room of Roy L. Schneider Hospital
on St. Thomas; and Friday, August 27, 2004, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at
Gertrude's Restaurant on St. Croix. Please call VI SHIP/Medicare at
772-7368 on St. Croix or 714-4354 on St. Thomas as soon as possible
to reserve a seat.
Additionally, VI SHIP/Medicare announces that CMS-Region II and WEDI
(Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange) will host a HIPAA (Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) Security Training session
Thursday, August 26, 2004, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Palms
Court Harborview Hotel on St. Thomas. For additional information, call
