LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR EXTENDS CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF
ATHALIE MCFARLANE PETERSEN
Lieutenant Governor Vargrave Richards extends sincere condolences to
the family and friends of Athalie McFarlane Petersen, a stalwart of
the St. Croix community who dedicated her professional life to library
service.
Mrs. Petersen's legacy is indelibly marked in Virgin Islands history,
as the 14th Legislature of the Virgin Islands designated the restored
Frederiksted Public Library as her namesake. Throughout her life Mrs.
Petersen remained highly involved in community activities, and will
continue to be an inspiration.
Her sincerity and affection for the people of the Virgin Islands will
be remembered. May she rest with angels.
